Kristina works with the technique of monotype as a form of speculative thinking about memory and loss. The fundamental unpredictability of this process — the presence of a gap between the action and the final image — becomes the key for her. She works directly on a printed basis, keeping a mirrored image in the mind, but the result always remains partially inaccessible. An impression appears as a trace that cannot be completely controlled or restored.
